Wow what an amazing breakfast I had, best I can remember having in Cardiff. If you want to eat food that launches you across the room this place can certainly do that. It was the cake that did it for me. Wowee. (Yes I had cake with my eggs mushrooms and parmesan). To top it off all this was on a platform above the water so I felt like a duck eating with the other ducks.

Had a lovely meal here with a friend recently. The food was really nice and a good serving for the money. Brilliant view of the water especially from the outside seating. Staff were all lovely even though we got there just as the kitchen was shutting we were still served.

We booked in for my brother’s 30th Birthday party. Nick was more than accommodating to any and all dietary needs and was incredibly cautious in his preparation which was greatly appreciated. Jan and the team on the bar were all incredibly on it throughout the evening, clearing tables and being generally welcoming and attentive. We really couldn’t have asked for more. Fabulous team with brilliant service. Couldn’t recommend them more!

We had such a lovely experience at Terra Nova! The view is beautiful—right on the water—and it made for a perfect, relaxing setting. But what really made our visit special was Jan. Two of us have gluten allergies, and she went out of her way to make sure everything we ordered was safe for us. She was so kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable, even sharing her own experience with celiac disease. She also gave us some great recommendations for other gluten-free spots in Cardiff, which we really appreciated. It’s not every day you come across someone so genuinely caring. Thank you, Jan, for making us feel so welcome and taken care of!

I was here recently with my two children for breakfast. The staff were so lovely! Insistent on being my coffee over so I didn’t have to juggle everything. Then when we ordered a big bowl of porridge (which was lovely!) the lovely Jan brought over extra bowls and spoon. Just a really nice place, full of lovely people!

Popped into the Terra Nova today for lunch. Cafe was very busy, but we didn't have to wait too long for our food. I had the salad bowl with feta and beetroot. Very generous serving of the beetroot & feta, on top of the salad. Hubby had a pizza which was really tasty and nicely cooked. Grandson had the cheeseburger meal, which came with chips, coleslaw, onion rings & pickles. Everything was freshly cooked and highly recommended. Finished off with a custard slice, so big it was enough to share, and a very nice coffee. Staff were engaging and very helpful.
